ACT Today! is the brainchild of several passionate parents of autistic children who have seen progress within their children through certain types of treatment, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). They have not given up hope that a cause and a cure will be found. Together with Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh, a leading provider of therapy to autistic children with over 25 years of experience, this group created ACT Today! to do just as the name implies - take action immediately to address the issues in the field of autism.

Their experience and knowledge gives them unique perspectives of the needs of these individuals, the gaps in the treatments and options available to them, and the importance of early and on-going treatment and care. Their vision is to create an organization that addresses these gaps head on and solves them quickly. By working with the best research and treatment programs, ACT Today! will provide the means to address the needs of autistics of every age.

ACT Today! will be managed by a diverse team that includes parents of autistic children, psychologists, physicians, and other professionals. While each member of the ACT Today! team brings their own sets of skills to the table, such as management know-how, treatment expertise, or fundraising knowledge; they all have one thing in common: The desire to help people with autism live the most fulfilling and happy lives possible.
